Charlton<\/a> (1982) begins in 1999. \u00a0This is the year that the techno scene faced this Dutch DJ from Rotterdam for the first time. \u00a0Started as a DJ, Charlton was attractive to techno music of that time. \u00a0 While his gigs started to count up, Charlton starts to produce his own tracks in 2001. \u00a0Charlton’s inventive style of producing tracks and with the techno sounds from \u201cthe old days\u201d combined with his own dark off-beat rhythms, filled with nasty razor-sharp and hypnotizing acid basslines, had a great impact on Dutch techno scene.<\/p>\n

As a result of his discernible music style, also his first releases took place on the Audio Assault<\/a>\/Arms<\/a> label of Bas Mooy<\/a> and Jeroen Liebregts<\/a>. \u00a0 Together with his \u201cpartner in crime\u201d Bas Mooy he started to produce some more tracks and solo tracks for other labels such as Pohjola<\/a>, Aftertaste<\/a>, or Labrynth<\/a> to name a few of the list. \u00a0In 2006 the collaboration between Bas Mooy and Charlton led to \u2018Diabla Diezco<\/a>\u2019 alias. This project delivers you the \u201cdark and evil techno straight from the streets of Rotterdam\u201d.<\/p>\n

The amount of international bookings is increasing in 2007, with gigs in Poland and Czech Republic for example. \u00a0The same year that Charlton was asked to play at the legendary \u2018Awakenings Festival<\/a>\u2019 party and the same year he became one of the founders of \u2018Return records<\/a>\u2019. \u00a0Through this label he supports the development of the current techno scene, by creating a high quality music platform for upcoming and current international producers.<\/p>\n
