This week’s podcast comes to us courtesy of Spain’s Kike Pravda. For more than 10 years he has been immersed in electronic music which has made him one of the most recognized artists in Spain. Kike has been sharing gigs with international artists like OSCAR MULERO, SURGEON, BEN SIMS, REEKO, EXIUM, GO HIYAMA, TAKAAKI ITOH, JEFF MILLS, DAVE CLARKE, REGIS, JAMES RUSKIN, LUKE SLATER, JUAN ATKINS, KENNY LARKIN, and many more. Kike has also garnered spots in reputable clubs and festivals such as Fabrik (Madrid), Treats Open Air Festival (Holland), Santander Summer Festival (Spain), Electrogaia Festival (Spain), Danzoo (Madrid), Underground (Dublin), Fraiche (Netherlands) and Fever (Bilbao).
His works have been seeing increasing exposure through projects on WARM UP RECORDINGS (Oscar Mulero´s Label), PSYCHOSKUNK, Labrynth, M_REC … solidifying his place in the techno scene. In 2012 Kike plans to to present his work in a more personal way via SENOID ™ RECORDINGS.

Today we bring you an exclusive Blank Code podcast by local Detroit techno dj/producer Joel Morgan. As the youngest member of Mintec Musik, you might think that Joel would struggle to keep up. Well, nothing could be further from the truth. Joel is a dedicated and ritualistic performer bringing years of DJ experience into his nothing short of flawless mixes. His abilities as a producer are second to none as he consistently releases a rugged underground sound.
Also with roots in Detroit Techno, Joel’s inspiration comes from the city that made Techno great. The bottom line is this: When a DJ drops one of Joel Morgan’s high powered tracks in one of his or her sets, the crowd will most definitely respond. It’s Monday June 11th, 2012 and today we bring you a podcast from an old friend and a proper techno artist, Ray Nicholes. Ray started out playing the drums in his early years and coupled with his interest in rock, industrial, and hip-hop he realized quickly that he had an unique edge to his creativity. While living in west Michigan he continued to build the foundation of his sound as he bounced between the underground techno scenes of Chicago, Detroit, and Toronto in the early ’90s.
Throughout the rapidly evolving techno scene Ray has kept his focus on producing tracks. His EPs Black Kamanche, Confessions, Tentación, and Caja de Ultima Hora “the remixes” are all released on Black Nation Records. Heavily influenced over the past 14 years by some of techno’s icons, Ray has been able to fine tune and master his own style that he coins “machine gun techno” that is dark, deep, heavy on drums and percussion, somewhat moody and tribal.
Since moving to Miami in 2009, Ray has performed at a number of clubs and private events including multiple gigs during WMC. He headlined parties at Space Techno Loft, Grand Central, Treehouse, and Overkill Warehouse Party Art Basel (Miami Beach); and also performed for Detek at The Works during the 2011 Movement Festival in Detroit.

After long being inspired by the UK’s longest running techno night Atomic Jam in Birmingham, Paul Carroll (aka Dead Sound) decided to make a change musically, moving into the world of techno under the name Dead Sound. Since starting out as Dead Sound, Paul has produced a variety of techno sub-genres including his own more broken beat and 4/4 styles by himself and also producing industrial techno alongside DJ partner Videohead. Dead Sounds debut EP, released through Datatrace, displayed an experimental mixture of IDM, bassline orientated techno and dubstep.
After hearing Dead Sounds demos, Perc asked Dead Sound and his DJ partner Videohead to remix tracks for Go Hiyama and Samuli. Following the success of these remixes, The Chosen EP was released under Perc Trax.
Following the hype of the Perc Trax releases, Acroplane requested some tracks from Dead Sound and Videohead which are due out in November 2011 under the name Pench EP. Coinciding with the Perc Trax releases, Gynoid and Electrax showed an interest and Dead Sound has carried out various remixes for them and has EPs due out later in 2011/early 2012. Alongside Perc and Surgeon, Paul has gained the support of other big players in the techno scene such as Dave Clarke, Richie Hawtin, James Ruskin, Xhin, and notably Bas Mooy.

Today is Monday, May 28th 2012 and we are pleased to give you this next podcast by Mary Velo. Originally from Canada, Mary Velo moved to Berlin in 2007 where she was strongly influenced by the deep house & techno scene.
Produced with an edgy and catchy sound, Mary Velo’s tracks prove that she takes risks and pushes boundaries. In 2008, she started producing her own tracks and remixing others, which quickly generated great reviews, resulting in positive feedback and online exposure. Coming from a background of various music genres, her sound is usually unique and deep. Mary Velo’s discography includes collaborations with Conforce, Ground Loop & BCR Boys.
Her first vinyl release “METHODS EP” on Coincidence Records, which includes a remix by Delsin wonderboy “Conforce”, has brought Mary Velo to the list of new upcoming techno talents. Her releases have gotten support from Luke Slater, DVS1, Lucy, Marcel Fengler, Markus Suckut, Par Grindvik, & Jonas Kopp, just to name a few. It’s Monday, May 21st and we are excited to give you a special podcast this week as a warm up for the Movement Festival. Agony Forces is a Spanish musical team from Santander in northern Spain set up by PEARL and Sharin. They have been working together developing and refining their style since 2005.
Heavily influenced by the sound of the British 90′, these two artists combine unique electronic sounds with other harder and more profound elements, making their live performance one of the most powerful and dynamic in the current scene. In 2007 they began performing at clubs and festivals in northern Spain, and at Aquasella in 2009 where they shared the stage with some of the best national and international techno artists.
This duo is recognized by well-known Spanish artists like Oscar Mulero and Christian Wunsch. Their productions have been released internationally by renowned labels such as Tsunami Records, Warm up or Arms Recordings (Audio Assault), where they shared work with artists such as Radial, Grovskopa, Luka Baumann or Ben Gibson among others.
